LIBRARY SERVICES
LIBRARY CARDS
All Wallington residents (ages five (5) and up) are eligible for a library card. Stop by our circulation desk to start the process of getting a card. Patrons may also start the application process online via the BCCLS website. Please note that additional steps will be required to complete the online application process.
The following requirements must be met in order to be issued a Wallington library card:
-
The patron must show valid proof of residency. Acceptable forms of identification include, but are not limited to, a valid New Jersey driver’s license or non-driver’s identification card issued by the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission, valid passport, current tax receipt, current utility bill, mortgage agreement, or lease agreement.
-
If the patron previously held a library card at another BCCLS member library, that card must be cleared of fines and in good standing before a Wallington card can be issued.
-
For children five (5) years of age and up, a parent or adult guardian (with valid proof of residence) must appear and sign for the child's card.
Library cards expire every three (3) years. Expired cards in good standing can be renewed in-person with confirmed proof of residency. There is no charge for card renewals. Lost library cards can be replaced at any time with valid proof of residency. There is a $3.00 replacement fee for lost cards.
