The Wallington Library's Children's Collection is shelved according to item type: board books, picture books, easy readers, and chapter books. The Library does not place leveled reading labels on the items in our Children's Collection. There are labels to help patrons find books on a particular subject or in a particular genre, but there are no labels indicating reading level.

However, the Library understands that children, parents, and caregivers may be tasked by teachers to find books on a particular reading level. Therefore the Library has compiled the below list of examples showing books at every reading level. Each list links to a collection of books at that level which are available in the BCCLS catalog. Patrons can also check the reading level of a book by using Scholastic's Book Wizard.

Library staff is always happy to help any patron find whatever they are looking for, whether the patron is looking for an item based on genre, subject, reading level, or beyond. Please do not hesitate to ask any staff member for help finding what you are looking for when you visit the Library!
