Beginner's Line Dancing
Wednesdays beginning March 18th

Join instructor Joan Colombo as she teaches us how to line dance! Line dancing is a form of synchronized dancing in which dancers are arranged in rows, or lines. Dancers move in unison, so no partners are required. Whether you are a beginner or advanced, line dancing is for everybody! Beginner’s Line Dancing is an easy and energizing way to get some exercise while enjoying some great music and good company.
Scrabble Club - Afternoon

Come to the library and test your vocabulary by playing Scrabble. Playing Scrabble can improve your memory, focus, and allows you to interact with others!
Adult Craft: Coffee Candle Making
Tuesday - March 31st, 2026

Bring a favorite mug from home and turn it into something cozy! In this hands-on program, participants will create their own coffee-scented candle using their personal mug. Enjoy a relaxed, social atmosphere while crafting a candle that smells just like a fresh cup of coffee — perfect for gifting or keeping for yourself.
All supplies will be provided, just bring a mug you don’t mind repurposing. Space is limited, registration is required.
Wallington patrons will have priority during the first week of registration beginning Tuesday, March 10th. Non-residents will be able to register beginning Tuesday, March 17th.
You must enter a library card number to register, regardless of residence. Registrations without a valid library card number and out of town residents registering before their date will be canceled.
Adult Yoga

Join us for an adult yoga class! Class is beginner and intermediate friendly. Modifications can always be made for poses to ensure safe movement for your body.
Bring a yoga mat, or a towel, and some water to stay hydrated.
Chair Yoga

Join us for an 8-week Chair Yoga series designed especially for adults and seniors!
Led by experienced yoga instructor Priti Dhariwal, this gentle and accessible class focuses on stretching, balance, breathing techniques, and relaxation — all from the comfort and support of a chair. Chair yoga is perfect for beginners, those with limited mobility, or anyone looking to improve flexibility and reduce stress in a safe, welcoming environment.
Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing and bring water.
Take time for yourself, improve your well-being, and connect with others in our community.

Crochet for Beginners
Tuesdays Beginning April 7th

Join us for a 6-week Crochet for Beginners series! In this hands-on class, participants will learn the basics of crochet including how to hold a hook, create foundational stitches, and follow a simple pattern. Over the course of the program, you’ll practice your skills and work toward a final project: a cozy handmade shawl to take home.
This class is perfect for absolute beginners or anyone looking to refresh their crochet skills. Registration is required and participants are expected to attend all sessions. 🧶

Join us for an engaging talk on creating your own “Victory Garden”! This program will raise awareness about where our food comes from while exploring the differences between factory farms and home gardens, organic and conventional growing, and the use of pesticides and herbicides.
Our presenters will share sustainable, naturally grown methods that can be applied to both small farms and backyard gardens. Learn about safe seed sources, spring garden prep, extending the growing season, composting, natural pest control, and more. Demonstrations of useful tools and practical techniques will show how anyone can build a productive and enjoyable garden at home.
Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced gardener, this program will inspire you to grow fresh, healthy food while caring for the environment.

Cook the Books!

Adults, join us for a series of free English as a Second Language (ESL) classes. Classes are a mix of lesson instruction and conversation building. Each class will be a new topic. As this is a very popular program, please be sure you can attend the session before registering.

Cat Cafe at the Library

Join us for a cozy, heart-melting Cat Café experience in partnership with the Bergen County Animal Shelter! Spend a relaxed session snuggling with an adorable shelter cat while enjoying a warm cup of coffee or tea.
During this feel-good program, you’ll also learn about the shelter’s Kitten Fostering Program and discover simple, meaningful ways you can support local animals through donations and community involvement.
To keep our feline friends safe and comfortable, visitors will be asked to remove their shoes and sanitize their hands before interacting with the cats.
Each guest will have an allotted amount of time with the cats so we can welcome as many visitors as possible.
Come for the cuddles, stay for the cause—and maybe meet your new furry friend. 🐱💛
